The Veggies Saga

A meal for me generally consists of eating chicken or beef chops Last weekend, I decided that I needed to have a more balanced diet and for it, needed to incorporate veggies into my meals for all days. Therefore, for the first time in my life, I went shopping to buy leafy vegetables I could add to my daily meals. Tured out to be quite a story… 

I hadn’t the faintest idea what I was doing here. Went to the market and bought some purple leafy veggies because everyone knows they are filled with phytochemicals and antioxidants. I also bought some Spinach to go with it.

The first day was terrible, I didn’t cook the spinach and just chopped the veggies and dumped em into the lunch box with my tasty beef chops. The combination tasted terrible. I’ve gotten a hang of how to do this since and am incorporating some spices and herbs with my cooking now to alter the taste of the food ever so slightly.

Need to increase my veggie intake over the next few days. Will let you know how this goes over the next few weeks!
