Living Without Borders

What would it be like to live in a world where there were no borders or passports?

I believe the population centres would be more or less like what we have right now with a 10% variance chance.

Why? Because the Equator and the Tropics will still be the most hospitable locations on this planet. Without passports or borders, most of humanity will stay in these regions — just as they do right now.

What do you think might happen?

  1. bleak as it may sound, i believe people from badly maintained countries (territories?) will move to the well maintained places, trashing the world. nobody will have an incentive to maintain their own territory as there’s nothing that stops others from coming there and trashing it, and nothing that stops them from going to other less trashed places when their own place is trashed enough.

a rapid spiral into anarchy and dysfunction.
