The Paleo Diet Is Not Difficult

Which one of these dishes would you like to eat?

Seekh Kabab, Bheja Fry, Chicken Salad, Caesar Salad, all veggies, Mutton Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Beef Chops, Bacon. OK I will stop now.

All of these foods are Paleo. Over the last few days, I have received a few comments and read online at a few places that the Paloe Diet is difficult for Indians to follow. In fact that is not true at all. There is a lot of things that one can do to make some very decent paleo dishes.

One can use quite a bit of imagination and make some really good paleo dishes. It isn’t that difficult and only takes a few times to practice cooking dry dihes. Once you ge the hang and taste of it, you are on cruise control.

  1. I am new to your blog and this past hour I have read all your posts. Thank you so much 🙂 I want to start the Paleo Diet because I suffer from PCOS and it is believed that Caveman diet a.k.a Paleo diet is the solution. So I’m going to give it a shot. Sadly the only meat I prefer is fish. Do you think I can follow the diet with just fish?

  2. Hi Rohini, firstly, congrats for thinking of doing this!

In all honesty, I dont know if you can do this only by eating fish. The Paleo Diet is about eating as much fresh veggies and meat as possible. The key here is variation. I dont know what results you will get by just restricting your diet to fish.

  3. Is there a place where I can get a list of Paleo dishes which can be easily prepared in India. Googled a lot and its all steaks and shit.

  4. Yeah read that. What do you typically have with curry but? I mean you can neither have roti nor rice.

  5. I generally don’t make curry based food. Prefer eating loads of starters made of various meats.

What u can do to substitute rice is coarsely grind cauliflower and cook it. I haven’t done this but a lot of Asians on paleo eat this instead of rice.
