Ola! Yesterday was another jobless day at the office.. finished a few reports etc.. Need to make one more gigantic report after which I will have no line of sight at work. The big man wants me to do another round of refresher training which should be interesting.
Didn’t reach closure yesterday. Will take another shot at it today.Told Z yesterday that we need to talk, so today is D-day π It will be a huge load off my head once its done..
On a different thought process..
There is a revolution coming
Do you know which side youβre on
Are you an individual or lost in the mob?
Do you understand freedom
And keep your values to yourself
So others can make a free choice?
People need to understand that you canβt force people to share your values. The only time you can force anyone to do anything is when they are directly interfering with your lively hood (for example, trying to kill or harm you physically). Let people live they way they want and they will do the same for you. There are more important things to worry about then what other people are doing with their own lives. If you value freedom then you should value freedom of choice.
I think whats happening with the Free Nation Foundation is just brilliant.. Have a look at their proposals and ideas..
A Cooperative Effort
To establish, through science, reason, and cooperation, an ecologically sustainable society where the principles of freedom are paramount.

Gyro’s proposal: (feel free to work into others)
The mission of the Free Nation Foundation is to establish a nation free from unnecessary restrictions built to favor entrenched powers, free from laws that restrict the freedom of information, and free from laws that hinder the human race’s progress. In doing so, we hope to raise the bar of societal progress in the world, so as to inspire others to do the same.

I think this is the closest so far but I replaced “information” with “ideas”. There’s a difference between what I ate for lunch (information) and the workable cold fusion reactor I came up with while eating it (idea). I might not care to have everyone know the former. —Nottestuser 20:33, 17 January 2007 (EST)
Edited such that if we are unable to obtain soverignty, or if the entire endevor fails, it’s still true.

I visit their forums often and the ideals proposed on the site sometimes are just brilliant, offering simple solutions which are both economically and socially viable is just what this world needs. Am sure planet earth would make more progress if we did away with the United Nations and all its stupid charters, the G8, NATO and Warsaw Pact. Just one look at the Kyoto Protocol will tell you how futile this whole excercise has been. Instead, lets adopt some of the ideas proposed by the Free Nation Foundation. Lets allow the planet to be run by people who are genuinely interested in its well-being..
